Daytona (black) or SkyD(blue)

If you had to pick just one for the foreseeable future… which one and why?

Black Daytona all day. It wears and looks better and won't ever go out of style.

legibility has to be sacrificed for aesthetic sometimes.

Blue for me! I love blue dials, especially on all of the Rolex models. Black is always a classic though and will go with any color attire. Is the black dial Sky-D a solid gloss black or a bright black? Bright black dials are pretty amazing looking too!

SkyD. I prefer a Speedmaster over a Daytona. And I like dual time / GMT watches.

Not an owner of either, but for me it's an easy decision. Black Daytona. So sexy, so cool, so everything I want in a Rolex. The blue SkyD is beautiful, but if I had to choose ...

Daytona, easily.

Much more wearable for me. Size wise.

Of those two, SkyDweller is the only choice for me. They wear so differently, I can’t believe one would not call to you if trying them on. I have owned both. Daytona is too small for my wrist/eye and the complications are not useful. Easy choice for this frequent flyer.

Black Daytona. Skydweller too big for me and it just holds no appeal.

Blue SkyD for me. I like the size, the 2nd time zone, month, date, and the ring command is the coolest watch feature on the market, plus better overall legibility. All that and I prefer blue

Oh yeah, almost forgot….two bracelet options.

The Sky-Dweller is a historically significant time piece. The annual calendar has been out of the Rolex catalog for quite some time. When you look at the jump in price from a date, seconds, to annual calendar at Patek and others, the Sky-Dweller offer a rugged alternative sport alternative at an attractive price.
