5000G Clasp Different Color
Hi
I just purchased a 5000G from 1993, the white gold model I have been looking around online and it seems there may have been a couple of different clasps, one a bit more ovalish and one is round I pulled this image offline (not my watch) but I have this same version of the clasp, the round one. However the gold clasp seems a bit "warmer" than the head, if that makes any sense - more of a golder tone, vs maybe steel of the watch itself. In this picture you can kind of see the same golden-ish tone I'm talking about I recall reading somewhere Patek switched their WG from something to do with rhodium to another production method but I'm not sure if that could have happened across the clasp & metal of the same watch? |

The watch head is rhodium plating and the deployant clasp is not...
Cheers
