My first Patek

After years of waiting, I got my hands on a 5205G, my first Patek.

Pairing it with my RO… a lot of blue, but it’s a great combo. In person it’s even better than I thought it would be. Photos don’t do the watch justice.

Great watch (gorgeous lugs and case) and outstanding complement to the Royal Oak. You have done well, congrats!

Huge congratz, I think it's a fantastic model to have, especially as a "only Patek" in a collection.

Congrats! I really like this piece and it wears really well due to the case and lug design. Enjoy!

Congrats. It's a great piece. Try on different straps too, it's pretty versatile.

Congrats. Beautiful watch. I don't own a Patek and I have considered that one as well. Refuse to pay the insane Nautilus/Aquanaut prices in the current era.

I will be honest, I hope to add an Aquanaut in the future. But the 5205G is a superior watch in almost every way. I believe in 30 years we will look back with disbelief how these PM complicated watches were seen as less desirable than steel non complicated watches.

Superlative piece. Looks even better on a PP navy blue alligator strap.

Congratulations! I got my first Patek in May and I was offered a choice between this one and a 5396. I did go with the 5396, but I keep coming back to this one. Love the lugs, dial and layout of yours. Enjoy!
