31 or 36

I am looking into getting a DJ. I am conflicted between the 31 and 36. While I know that big watches are the trend, I’m not really looking to keep up with the trend—I’d rather have something classic and timeless that can last my whole life.

I tried both in the store today. First two photos are the 31 and the last two are the 36.

Thanks for any and all insight!

It’s really a preference of what one likes. In my wife’s case she likes the 31mm.
Her wrist are what I’d call medium size. And yes, I think her watches look good on her at that size.

Matter of preference and what you may already have.
My wife has all the way from 28 to 41, with 36 and 40 in between as well.
She wears them all regularly depending on occasion.

Just asked my wife for her opinion. She said the 36 looks way better.

It comes down to which you prefer. From the photos it looks like either would look great. Nobody else can tell you which one you like more.

I like bigger watches for women but it’s your preference.

Depends on your preference, both are great. My wife prefers 36mm, her 22 y/o daughter prefers 31/32.

I recently bought my daughter an OP 31 and seeing it on her wrist it looks really great! She wanted the smaller size and I was skeptical at first but it looks amazing on her.

Life is short buy the watch-

FWIW, my wife prefers 31, but I think 36 looks great on her and you.

Both are possible. It's a matter of preference and style. With the different perspectives in the photos it's hard to tell. As a rule of thumb: lug to lug size shouldn't be more than wrist size. Here both qualify. 36 has more presence though, 31 is more subtle probably...

That’s a very nice configuration. Same dial as mine, but I’ve got the Romans and yellow gold on Oyster. Congrats!

36 is my vote but you have to decide which you really like most.
Please let us know which you pick!

I vote for the 31mm for you. I wear a 28mm Lady Datejust.

Can't go wrong with either. When in doubt, get them both.

I’d say go 36 they aren’t oversized in my eyes and for me 31’s are a little on the small side

I'm voting 31mm as it looks more jewellery. Not a fan of oversized watches on women.

My wife wears a 26mm DJ or mini Cartier Panthere (which is teny tiny) and she loves them both.

As others have said, its personal preference.

I commented on your reddit post and like I said there I think both look good on you and you can go either way. I am female and the whole larger watches for women are a trend will go away is something that has been said for the last 15 years. It is all about personal preference. I own watches ranging from 26-38mm.

I vote 31 mm. Both me and my wife find it classier to go down rather then up when in doubt. She has a 31 mm OP and adores it.

Obviously choice is yours but 31mm because it is undoubtedly feminine.

On first thought without looking at your pics, I would say 36.
However, looking at your pics, I like the 31 better on you.
FWIW, my wife likes 31
