Rolex 118208 Day-Date 36 Factory Diamond Dial 18k Gold LNOS Unpolished Oyster Papers

For sale is a Like New Old Stock (LNOS) 36mm 18 karat yellow gold Rolex Day-Date 36. The K serial 118208 was originally retailed in August of 2009, and is accompanied by its original warranty card.

The Rolex features a polished yellow gold case, which is accented by a fixed domed polished finish gold bezel. The Day-Date is mounted on its original 73858 yellow gold Oyster bracelet, which is fully linked, containing 13 full-size links and two half links. The Oyster bracelet is stamped with a “DE5” clasp code, which corresponds with a production date of May, 2001. The Rolex features a factory silver sunburst diamond dial with applied factory set brilliant and baguette cut diamond hour markers, polished gold hands, a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock, and a day window aperture at 12 o’clock. The movement used in the 118208 is the Rolex Caliber 3155, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

Condition:
The Day-Date’s unpolished case has been preserved exceptionally well and still retains its original Rolex Japan caseback sticker, which remains virtually intact. The Oyster bracelet contains no stretch with the clasp still being somewhat “sticky” to open / close, while the coronet on the clasp is fully intact. Both the unpolished yellow gold case and bracelet have acquired a rich rosy / red colored oxidation from spending two decades in a safe. Overall the Rolex is in LNOS condition and is the true personification of a safequeen watch.
