Value red Submariner 1680

Hi guys,

A friend of mine has offered me a 1680 red Submariner which only comes an appraisal document. (It is believed to be from around 1978)

Do you have any idea on the value of this? (I am usually not a vintage guy)

Any help is appreciated.

Hard to tell much from those two photos. You need to show a lot bigger, better and sharper photos. What is the beginning of the serial number?

If it's legit, it wouldn't be from 1978. Red Subs ended around 1974 with 4.0 million serials.

need better pics as others have said but could be a Mark VI dial looking at the wording layout which bodes with the serial number range.
