Just joined the Rolex brotherhood

I have been a Panerai enthusiast for years but took the plunge today and picked up a stainless white face Daytona. Loving it on my wrist...I have a feeling my Panerais are going to be lonely in their box for awhile.

P.S. I know Tourneau doesn't get a lot of love and I have never purchased anything there before, but I have to say the Rolex boutique within the Madison Ave branch in NYC really took care of me. They found me a brand new piece at list price within 48 hours of my first visit.

Great watch. After attending the F1 race today, I'm really starting to consider a Daytona. Saw quite a few.

I went to the practice races last year...what a fantastic facility! I had never been a big F1 race fan, but it got me hooked. I am hoping they pull off the race in NJ next year.

Paid list...with demand in NYC as it is for new ones they just don't need to offer a discount. Just down the street Wempe said they had a 5 month wait. I definitely considered buying from the forum, but for my first Rolex I feel good about getting it brand new at an AD, even if I had to pay the tax and a few bucks more on the piece. I will likely get my next one (loving the blue/black GMT) from the classifieds here.

Congrats on that awesome piece. Interesting that Wempe told you something different than the Rolex boutique on 5th considering they are both owned by Wempe. Ive found the service in the boutique to be nothing less than stellar. Enjoy!
