Amazingly beautiful watch, I wish Rolex would offer the white gold option for 40 and 37mm Yachtmaster models.

I think the RoseGold looks good as well thanks to the red line. However I love the sinister appearance of this one, and I’d rather Rolex not make it in 40mm, because then my wallet would be in danger.

Bro this is badass watch, I agree with someone’s reply you don’t need opinions on if it’s cool or trendy. Watch is beautiful if you like it, go for it.

Love mine, no regrets. Looks different to the other Rolex models with the bezel, nice rounded polished case. People who get it get it, those who don’t...don’t.

Picked this up recently and it's a really beautiful watch.
I agree it's pricey for a date only watch. But otherwise, I really love it and don't regret getting it for one second. The WG feels amazing and significantly different than SS. This was my first WG and I now have a problem wearing my SS watches :) The OF fits and feels comfortable. I bought this watch because I thought it was understated but it seems to draw a lot of attention (for better or worse :) and comments. I do like the fact that's not ubiquitous and really feels like you have something special on your wrist. |

I wish that it was available in 37mm and 40mm too (like the RG version), and that there was also a YG version (so 37, 40, 42 for WG, RG, and YG). I doubt that Rolex would ever sell a steel oysterflex watch unless it was part of a removable bracelet system and one had already purchased the metal (steel) bracelet. Why lower the MSRP if you’re Rolex? I also like how the YM line doesn’t have endlinks. Basically, I’d like to see a 40mm YG version.

I'm a fan.
If you're buying it b/c you're head over heels in love and can't live without it, you're fine. If, however, you're a buyer b/c it's the only thing you can get from your AD, then that's a mistake. |

Been my daily for a year, couldn't be happier with it. It's not a hype watch which makes me love it even more.

I love mine. Perfect watch for when I don't want a bracelet. It gets a lot of use.

The Oysterflex is vented, so it’s a comfortable watch for hot weather and summer. IMO - The case thickness at 11.8mm, combined with the curves of the case, give it a better aesthetic than the blockier and thicker Sub41. And I love the matte ceramic bezel. Of course every wrist is different, so I recommend trying it on your wrist to see for yourself.

I ordered a YM 42 in August, and the AD called me today and informed that it had arrived :-) ! So on Tuesday I'll go and pick it up, given that it fits my wrist and feels as expected (which I think it will!)
This is my first proper watch purchase* since I bought the Seamaster 300 Prof back in 2003. Personally I think that the YM42 is the ultimate watch: Timeless, sporty, understated and dressy at the same time! Not 100% sure I'll use it when out sailing, though... *: except some sports watches like Suunto and lately the Garmin Fenix 6X Sapphire |

The YM42 is what I call a subtle flex. It is both luxurious and understated at the same time. It doesn’t stand out in the office amongst my Apple Watch wearing colleagues. I wear all my watches but enjoy the YM42 the most. Those who know, know. I don’t worry about walking into the Nike store and having a 17 year old kid comment on my Daytona. (Which is why I stopped wearing a Daytona daily.) I don’t honestly believe you can add a rubber b strap to a submariner and get the same feel as the YM42. Otherwise I would have done it. The sparkle of the white gold in the sunlight and the weight of the watch let you know it’s not a submariner. The YM42 also doesn’t feel anywhere as large on the wrist as a 44mm Panerai. The size complaints to me are unfounded. I think the next watch I’ll look for from Rolex will be the titanium YM that has been seen in the wild.

I think it's a splendid watch, but it doesn't seem to be as popular as a Daytona or a Submariner with an Oyster bracelet. How beautiful is this YM42 in white or yellow gold.... |

I got mine as soon as it came out couple years ago. I’m super happy with it.
It feels great on. |

I actually prefer the YG version...
I don't have enough wealth to stealth, so if I dropped the money on a PM YM, I'd prefer the YG42 or the RG 40 (prolly the latter). I think the YM PM's are some of the "baddest a" references in the catalog. I love the black bezels. |

It’s a nice watch but Rolex have got the pricing wrong. Should be circa £20k

Does the bezel clicks of the YM42 have the same silky smooth feel of the Sub?

From what i have heard, opinions vary. some people think its worth the price because of its size and luxurious material. while others may find it a bit expensive. ultimately, its up to your personal preference and budget.
