I’d go rhodium. The rhodium smooth bezel combo for some reason just works fantastically. It’s one of the best DJ combinations IMO

It depends on what other watches you have but with the non fluted bezel I'd go with the Rhodium. I have a Rhodium OP39 and I love the way it seems to match anything you wear....picks up the color and just matches everything. You cannot go wrong with either.

I was offered both a bright blue and a slate grey dial DJ41 by my AD but holding out for a Wimbledon. In the meantime wearing a Breitling Superocean 42 white dial blue bezel. Not exactly a Rolex but a decent daily wear watch.

Azzurro blue is worth a look. That’s my favourite datejust dial. |

I think blue is most gorgeous dial of them all. However, I already have a blue dial watch, so I’d go with the slate dial. By the way, I’m pretty sure they changed the name from rhodium to slate.

I'm in the same position as you as I want the DJ41 also but with fluted bezel. But I think I will choose the Rhodium as I already have the GMT BLNR and want some other colors.
Anyway, you can't go wrong with either one. |

I just can't understand getting a DJ with a smooth bezel. It's like getting a muscle car with a weak 4 cylinder engine. You're missing out on the best part.

Those who lean towards blue fluted would do well to check out Globemaster. Stunning watch, much better movement, and you can actually get one.
