5167R vs Day-date
If you have to only keep one between daydate yellow gold green dial or Patek 5167R which one would you pick.
I can’t make my mind I love my daydate but having Patek has always been a goal. And can’t keep both Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Day Date for me if it was a choice of that particular Patek. There’s a lot of other Patek models that I would certainly choose but not a 5167.

Day-Date is the quintessential top-tier Rolex. Not what you want to hear, but I would keep both, two different animals!! Good luck!!

DD for me, that Patek is really entry level and not in the same league as the Rolex.

5167R vs Day-date
I think it’s fair. The Patek would be easier for me to daily. The Rolex is much more watch and much more flash. Everyone will notice the gold Rolex, nobody but watch guys will notice the aqua. Whatever you’re after.

You are asking on a Rolex enthusiasts forum whether you should choose a Rolex or another brand?

Daydate over any aquanauts.
No regrets over cashing out on any aquanauts. |

Just the styling of the Aquanaut never really excited me much personally. Day-Date would be my choice without even a second thought. Even if both were Rolex branded watches!

Depends on what else is in your collection.
Day date is heavy and flashy. It’s a lot of watch. YG with green dial is also even more flashy. Aquanaut is the lightest and easiest watch to wear. Also even in RG it’d be easy to daily. But who says you can’t daily a DD? I couldn’t, but depends on you. |

If I could only keep one, it would be the DD. Beautiful, robust, easy to daily. That being said, I am currently waiting on an RG aqua. Both are great.

I have the 5167r, such a comfortable, classy piece that you can wear daily. Love the green DD but between the two the Patek is way more versatile imho

Do you physically have both in hand? I own the 67R and have owned many Pateks and Rolex and can say it is a real stunner and very underrated. I never have used any Nauts or Aquas as a daily as these are all scratch magnets so having the Aqua in Rose for Me is a must for weekends and special occasions. It is also very versatile as it can be worn casually or dressed up and gives you just the right amount of WOW factor. If I had the SS version I would wear it the same way personally and it would bore the heck out of me. I am a fan of blingy watches and the only Day Date versions I would care to own would be the Green YG you are referencing or a Puzzle DD however I think the YG Green DD is much easier to acquire than a 5167R and harder to wear in most scenarios. Ideally sell some other stuff and find a way to keep both but if one must go then punt the DD.

Keep the Patek. The DD is easily replaceable should you desire it back at some point in the future.

Both are great. The 5167R is one of my favorites and that's what I'd go with.

Between those two, DD. If you had the travel time, I’d go with Patek.
