New Daytona 126500 Appreciation Post and Comparison vs 116500
I've had my white 126500 for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it!
I've always been a fan of the Daytona and have owned my black 116500 since 2018. It's been my daily beater for many years, and I enjoy wearing it on the super jubilee. When the 126500 was announced a year ago, I wasn't totally convinced, especially about the new case design. However, after owning it for a few weeks, I find it to be an upgrade: - The metal ring around the ceramic is stunning - The thinner indices and subdials give it a more refined appearance - The new symmetrical case boasts a bulkier profile with larger crownguards and lugs. Additionally, the new case and endlink design make the 126500 more comfortable on my wrist compared to the 116500 when on the oyster bracelet Here are a few pictures. Here are some comparison pics And finally the 116500 in white vs 126500 in white I have many more pictures on my Instagram page: karleoneSub16610 |

He is always looking for validation that his 126500 white is SO much better than the previous model.

Nice comparison photos. I’m with you, prefer the thinner subdials

It’s a nice watch.
The 116500 black dial looks nicer but can’t go wrong with either. Not a fan of the jubilee substitution but easy to reverse. |

I myself prefer the 116500 - if I wanted a Zenith dial, I would get a 16520 and get the centered subdials as well but all Daytonas are beautiful |

Me neither - but it still is a much sought after watch 116 or 126 ..
Your photos are excellent .. as is your unbridled desire to promote the 126, here or insta .. nothing wrong in it trust me, having such a watch for some is impossible, I consider myself extremely lucky having the 116 ..

Both look nice but if I had to choose one I would go 116.

I like it. IMHO the metal ring around bezel is a cool finishing touch.

126500LN is just more refined, refer above 126500LN vs 116500LN for good read |

To be honest OP, you’re living the dream with those 2. 116500ln black on jubilee is a dream. And that white 126500 is the best Daytona I’ve ever seen despite the hype. It looks better than a RO jumbo to my eyes. Maybe the best LOOKING steel sports watch ever. I don’t care about haute horology if it’s fragile and easy to scratch. Robust, reliable and powerful sports watches will always win. Rolex will always win . That is all

Check, check and check. 100% agree on all those points. I passed up on the previous gen WG oysterflex twice but as soon as I saw this in the flesh, the refinement resulting from the updates made it a no brainer.

Agree. It also thins out the black bezel to not contrast as much against the white dial. Pops less but overall more cohesive design IMHO. I used to think the pop and contrast was more appealing but changed my tune after a couple visits to the dealer to compare the 2 watches. Now after 2 months with the 126 white no contest for me.

I think the new one looks great if you can pull off the new size. I like the smaller size of the older models but that updates have some charm of the past. We are so focused on what's better but... neither is the answer. They are great watches for different reasons.

I feel the older is more aesthetically pleasing and special because it is the only watch that has a ceramic bezel with no metal frame around it in the Rolex range (correct me if I’m wrong?)
