Day-Date 118239 - fake diamond dial, or fake whole piece?
I found this on eBay and messaged the seller to see if a face to face deal is possible in South Florida since I'll be there next week. He said no problem. However, looking at the dial, it looks a little off...did Rolex ever make a diamond Day-Date dial that had lume plots?
Although the pics are crappy, the rest of the watch looks pretty good. I have to wonder if it's an aftermarket dial, or if the whole thing is a high end fake. If I do check it out, I'll certainly pull off the bracelet and remove the caseback to check out the movement. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-18kt-W...vip=true&rt=nc |

When I see pics like these for a Rolex, I'm already in skeptic mode. Theres absolutely no reason whatsoever that you should be taking pictures with a 1998 flip phone and using them to promote your high end time piece. You cannot tell jack squat about this watch from those photos. You cannot even tell if its truly a 118239. Looks beat up enough to be an 18239. Sure you can meet this guy but his auction has already ended which isn't a good sign either. I'd blow this off and contact a TRF trusted seller and skip all the madness.
