First Luxury Pen

So after building a little collection of watches thought I would get a decent pen. It is the Montblanc Boheme Noir. It's coming in the mail I bought it used off ebay

Congrats! I literally just received a Montblanc Boheme Rouge Ballpoint Pen yesterday via UPS to add to the MB collection. I like that the nibs on the Boheme fountain pens are retractable. Pretty cool feature, indeed.

Thanks! I'm a little confused. Should I just use cartridges or get a converter to save some money. My only fear is it spilling in my pocket as I am new to this world.

Not 1000% sure on that model? But I believe it's cartridge ONLY and no converter. As taken from this:

Thanks! I am so excited to start using it just need to find an affordable protective leather sleeve.

Montblanc pen sleeves can be a bit pricey. These, however, are extremely reasonable and are of first rate quality and craftsmanship. I own several of the Montblanc pen cases/sleeves along with several of these. You won't be disappointed with either

Back in 1999, before the Boheme there was the Rouge et Noir and Noir et Noir. Same basic design but at the time the term "et Noir" was trademarked by a perfume maker and they sued MB over the name. Montblanc had to discontinue the use of that name (seems since then they have reacquired the right to the name) and recall all the pens not yet sold.

Time passed and a few years ago one of the Boutiques was having its spring sale and they had a great price on a Boheme with a BB nib so I jumped on it. A few days later the big brown truck showed up with a package and inside was ...

one of the Rouge et Noir pens that supposedly had been recalled.

I immediately invoked the "No TakeBacks" rule, emailed the salesman at the Boutique and told him I had licked the pen and the rest is history.

The poor baby had been sitting in a dark drawer for over a decade.
