Hey Matt,
Tell you what...forget the winder. Normal rule of thumb for most Rolex watches is this: Crown UP to gain, crown DOWN to lose and dial UP to gain. Try this and let us know how it worked out. Cheers - JJ

I tell you this. I'm not that much of an accuracy freak but my 5-1/2 year old sub runs between 1/2-1 sec +or- a day EVERY SINGLE MONTH

I tried crown up and crown down and neither slowed it down at all. Only in the winder position did it show any type of slowing.

Agreed, just wanted check the accuracy the first few days. Now I know and am content with the +2 secs a day. BTW did you give JJ this speech. He seems quite keen on his watches accuracy.
