Staggered Pick Up

As much as I love Rolex watches, I’ve been looking out a lot more as of late.

Picked up these two at different times. Almost sold the Blackbird, but I am pretty stoked that I kept it.

The Blackbird specifically has great lume, a bezel for timing and I love blacked out look.

The Transocean has this amazingly clean dial and I love the day/date combination. I’ve alweays been a sucker for it.

Both are basically the same size. Slim cases too, so they wear really well. They are big at 43 mm, but they don’t wear big at all, based on the slim profile. They wear much smaller than one might imagine.

Apparently Breitling has gotten very flexible with straps so it’ll be fun to see what options I might come up with.

They are both very reasonably priced. The new warranty card that cane along with the Transocean is really neat.

So far, I’m really impressed and glad to be back with Breitling.

Is that Blackbird an Avenger GMT, forgive my ignorance. Looks like my brushed SS Avenger I bought last summer, mine with the blue dial and OEP blue rubber strap, great clasp.
Love the rugged look, thought 40mm would be my max but, you’re right, it wears smaller due to the low profile. Enjoy

Yes it is, it is the Avenger ll GMT model, black steel case, here is the Breitling reference number, REF. M3239010|BF04|109W|M20BASA.1 A beautiful watch and one that I have always wanted, unfortunately something else always jumps the list.

Breitling has a wide variety of straps to change up the look. Somewhat limited with the black steel GMT because of the case but with the transocean you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. If you are looking for custom straps for any of your watches check out Jean Rousseau, Madison and 46th in NYC, they have a selection that is crazy. A final note, a custom strap will be less than a OEM Breitling strap!

Great pickups. Love the avenger line, and blackbirds are always special. Transocean seems like a great way to complement that rugged modern sport look with elegance
