Rolex in Hong Kong
We were in HK for a short holiday last week.
Didn't buy anything since I think it's still cheaper to buy in Australia due to our bad exchange rates. However, I found that the ADs are quite willing to discount on all models, e.g. SS GMT2c list price HK$51600, 5% discount first off the bat, without me asking (non sports models are 8% off right away). I suppose it's easily possible to shop around for better discounts. Saw too many Rolex ADs on the streets, most have the new blue ceramic sub as well as the DD2. I didn't see any DSSD though. We went to Macau for a night and the Rolex bling there are enormous. Saw GMT Ice, leopard daytona, etc etc too - it's a casino city so you gotta expect bling. Sorry, no pictures allowed - I nearly got kicked out of Wynn Macau when I took my camera out at the AD windows there - even I was a hotel guest - they have a security guard at every corridor... |
