Can someone pls explain GS prices

I have a nearby GS AD. They discount GS. They have tons of stock.

I look online at pieces and see tons of stuff listed over retail. I am perplexed by this. For example, SGBA259, GS Golden Snowflake, goes for over $6k on the used sites. It is MSRP $5,800. Maybe I could get it without the tax, or even less. I don't know. What is going on here? Do certain current models actually sell above MSRP? This isn't Rolex right? Shame if that's the case now.

FWIW, I just own a SBGA211, love it, total icon in my opinion. Traded a vintage Rolex 6694 Oysterdate Precision plus cash to get into it.

Thanks in advance.
