Appraisal, Insurance, and servicing Serial 1,7x 1968 GMT
I’ve been looking for a while and found a 1675 serial 1,7x. Everything looks good online to my eye, and pics match references I’ve seen for series, but I won’t have it in my hands for a few more days. (GMTMaster1675) Mark1 dial.
The dial/hands looks accurate and lume demonstrates patina I’d expect. No bracelet. I’d appreciate your thoughts and recommendations on: 1. Ensure it is authentic and not a conglomeration of parts. 2. Appraisal for Insurance. 3. Adding it to a home/personal policy or do you recommend watch specific insurance? 4. Servicing when necessary. I don’t want RSC changing everything out giving me new hands, dial etc. What do you recommend for 50+ year old Rolex service? I’m in Indianapolis area. |
