If it's too good to be true...what's wrong with this Tudor movement

A friend of mine just picked up a Tudor 94110 for the remarkable, unbelievable and incredible price of USD 2.5k locally (i.e. in Dubai). He thought it was a bargain and showed it to me for approval and I immediately noticed something amiss (or at least not too familiar) with the movement pics, specifically the fonts of the Tudor text. The previous owner claimed to have won it at a Japanese auction...

Does anyone know if Tudor ever made snowflakes (94110) with this font on its movement or should he be concerned? I know there are dial variations specifically from 82 (known as Type 2 I believe) and this watch is also dated 82 so who knows...

Some pics (not the best, but these are all I got from him) below.
