Ceramic Seamaster

I had a great conversation about the making of the ceramic cases with a sales rep at the omega boutique.

I mentioned the only reason I haven’t bought one yet is because with a stainless steel watch you can polish and laser weld back to new without having to purchase a new case.

With the ceramics, we don’t have to worry about scratches or dings. But a cracked case is catastrophic and expensive (2/3rds the cost of the watch to replace according to the rep).

However, the rep said the way omega manufactures their ceramic cases make them less prone to cracking.

Any current owners like to share their experience? I love the look and stealth of the ceramic cases
