New member and future Rolex owner

Hi everyone,

Just introducing myself. I've only recently started becoming more interested in fine timepieces. The first 'nice' watch I got was a Tag Heuer Aquaracer (back in 1999 it was just called a "2000 series", IIRC) and that was about all I wore for over two decades.

But as I got older, fatter, and my eyesight worsened, I started exploring watches with larger dials. Naturally I wanted to move on to an automatic, and purchased a Hamilton Pan Europ after seeing James May wear one in an episode of The Grand Tour. I thought the blue/red NATO strap was cool, and decided to try it out.

Then...my friends got into watches, lol. And so after we all began purchasing finer things, I added an Omega Speedmaster Racing to the collection (if you can call 3 watches a 'collection').

Now I'm looking at a Rolex with a wider bracelet to help round things out. I'm sure I'll be asking a ton of questions in the future, but figured I'd start out with a basic intro.

And, no--I don't have the '61 Ferrari 250 anymore. It belonged to a friend's dad.
