Is this 7835 bracelet genuine?

Hi all,
Helping a friend out with a 6694 he inherited from his father. The watch itself is good and is on its way for service. However the bracelet itself it a bit peculiar, with both 60 and 357-endlinks. The clasp has no date marking, but an "A". Theres also no "7835-19" on the last link. My theory is that the last link was removed to make room for a hackjob-repair with a "60"-endlink.
I have seen clasps without date, but strange that its missing the model nr. However a very unlikely candidate to replicate i would guess.
