Can the date change on a 3235 influence hour hand movement?

Hi All,

I have recently received a new submariner date 126610 as a graduation gift. The watch is stunningly accurate and generally amazing. However, I've noticed something odd with the hour hand. Generally the hand is perfectly aligned so that when the minute hand is at 12 the hour hand points directly to the hour. However, between 12 and 3 am the hour hand moves three minutes faster, such that it points directly to the hour at 11:57. What is weird to me is that from 12 to 3 pm, this does not occur and everything lines up. As the hour wheel makes one rotation every 12 hours, I thought that it would be consistent. The only difference I can think of is that the date change occurs during this time (12:06 on my watch in particular). Could the date change be causing the hour hand to skip forward temporarily?
