1016 frog foot back from its first service

Just got my dad’s 1016 from 1972 back from Greg at True Patina for its first service possibly ever. My dad had been holding this for years and finally gifted it to me after I helped him move. Greg did a great job, quick turn around. He put a true dome crystal on and stabilized the hands. The watch was so dirty and the acrylic crystal was so scratched that it really feels like a whole new watch. And it works! This is my first foray into anything really vintage from Rolex and there is something so charming about the rattling bracelet and thick tritium lune. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Greg service anything special like a this heirloom!
