different coronets for 5512 dials with minute ring

here are the 3 different types of coronets ( and dials ) for 5512 with minutes ring :

1) mk1 : here shown on a very early model with square shoulders ;
someone call it also "twisted crown" due to the last ferrule on the right that seems to be "twisted" ( moved on the right ) ; in use from 1959 to 1961 :




( the word SUBMARINER can be either in silver or gold (in this case under the coat of transparent paint )).

2) mk2 : the dial with "tulip" coronet ( the name comes from its shape that looks like the head of the flower ) ; in use from 1959 up to 1961 :



3) mk3 : ( no nickname found untill now ) : it's the last model , in use from
1961 up to the end of 5512/3 with minutes ring dials ( end of 1963 circa ) :



footnote : in mk2 and mk3 dials .. the 2 lines of maximum depth are quite close , but not 100 % equal ( see the different shape of the letter "t" ).
