Icon10 First vintage - 1675 GMT from '78

Recently I decided I want to focus my collection solely on Rolex. I had a Breitling Superocean II, a vintage Tudor and a Universal Geneve that weren't seeing much wrist time since I bought the new Black/Blue GMT Ceramic. I love the timezone complication of the GMTs, so I went into Aaron Faber, a NYC vintage watch dealer and traded my three watches for this 1978 GMT Master 1675.

The jubilee bracelet it came on was in really good condition but was a bit stretchy, so yesterday I put it on a Horween strap which was really given it a lot more character. I love the creamy patina, matte dial and the brushed silver date wheel with open 6's and 9'.

Its my first Rolex vintage piece and I'm loving it and the more dressed down look, perfect for my memorial day weekend getaway. My other two Rolexes are rather flashy and intense and a vintage on a strap really makes the collection versatile. They are definitely right about the character of these guys!

Pics!
