Hey ya'll, I lurked here for a few weeks before registering. After a few months, figured it was time to introduce myself. My main reason for becoming a member was to look at pictures and use the search function.

I don't know nearly as much about Rolex as ya'll do, but I've learned a great deal from reading this forum. I really have a much better appreciation for the craftmanship and history of Rolex.

My paternal grandfather wore a Rolex (OP Date, circa 1958, now dad's), dad wears one (GMT Pepsi bought new in 1979), and mom wears one (OP Date ladies size, which dad bought for her after I was born. Or maybe it was my brother. Can't remember).

I don't own one yet, but I plan on buying a Sub next month. Sort of a 25th birthday/one year on the job present. I pretty much have my heart set on the 114060. I realize the cyclops is iconic Rolex, but I prefer the cleaner, more symmetrical dial of the no date.
