Another new Texan

Hey everyone

Stumbled across this website while browsing Google images of Rolexes. The only one I have right now is a stainless Datejust my dad generously bought for me a few birthdays ago. He's been in the jewelry business a long time and he loves nice watches, and scored this one from a Rolex dealer friend who took it in on trade.

I feel naked without a watch and normally wear a 15 year old Citizen as my daily, but while it was out for service, I was wearing my Datejust. Unfortunately I wore it while doing major work on my diesel truck and exposed it to some pretty harsh treatment, causing it to run slow and heavily scarred the crystal and case. Long story short, dad's Rolex buddy came to the rescue and did a complete service + polish at a great price.

Now the Citizen is back on my wrist for the heavy work, and the Datejust still gets worn from time to time. I have other inexpensive watches that get worn, but the Datejust and Citizen are my favorites.
