Seller refuse to give serial numbers?

I spoted a Sub no date on the website of a pro seller who has a shop.

Price is 3 150 euros. Paper + box included and a 1 year warranty from the shop.

I asked him the serial number, he told me it was confidential.

I asked him the number on the clasp, he told me that if I don't trust him, I should buy a brand new watch.

He only gave me the year and the country code.

He told me he didn't open the watch because it was running well and so it was not necessary to open it.

What do you think about these things ?

Thanks

What is your opinion ?
