Fake strap from a dealer?
A friend of mine bought himself his first Rolex off eBay from a 'dealer' a few days ago and asked me to take a look at it and see what I think. I straight away felt like something wasn't right with the bracelet, as did my dad when I showed it to him. We both said it felt cheap and the markings didn't look like what we'd expect. The watch is a 1971 datejust according to the 'dealer'. Endlinks are 455b which I know is commonly fake as well as the strap (6248-19) being common too.
What do you think? I've compared it with my own bracelet and it look so different. Apologies for the poor photos, had to keep making them smaller in order to upload them. Thanks |
