GMT poll

Thoughts on 116170LN vs 116713? While I can appreciate and respect the BLNR, BLRO, and CHNR, they are not for me. They are priced about the same, depending on condition, but the two tone is less than MSRP and the 116170 is higher than MSRP.

My 116713LN is my daily beater (and I mean beater as it gets work when I’m on the tools!). It was my first 6 digit GMT and for this reason I have a greater attachment to it than all my other GMTs.

If you don’t mind having a bit of YG then it’s a great watch and gets my vote!

My Rolex is the 116710LN. As an everyday watch it has been outstanding! I've owned it for 8+ years now so it is showing some age. The polished links have lost most, if not all, the polish and appear to be almost like a brushed finish. There are light scratches on the clasp and a few minor dents on the case, nothing too bad.

If I were to get a watch to wear but not as an everyday watch it would be the 116713. I would be a bit concerned about scratching the gold, especially on the clasp. This watch is a stunner, certainly one to get some attention.

Both watches are such classic beauties!!! Can't go wrong either way.

I prefer SS over TT. Otherwise same watches. I’ve had my 116710LN for 5 years and it’s a great watch.

Have the 16753 tt and the 116710ln. Both enjoyed equally. Go with your preference. Don’t get caught up in pricing as you will see that going up and down over time.

Agreed! Nice thing about both of these watches is that they are no longer offered so they should only go up in price. The 116710LN seems to be a very highly sought after watch.

I have both and like them both! If i have to choose only one, i would take the 116713; it is a little Main-Event! :-)

If you plan to wear it every day, the 116170LN is the better choice. Gold will scratch and scuff much more easily. But I do prefer the 116713.

If I add an all black stainless GMT, it would likely replace an explorer. I dont mind the yellow gold and dont have any yellow gold in my collection so the two tone would be in addition to the explorer and a very flexible addition of yellow gold. I prefer a two tone to a full yellow gold piece as it may not garner as much attention as a full gold piece.
