I think you made a good choice, but I'm most likely the wrong guy to ask, as I'm one of the biggest EXP2 fans on the forum.

Congrats! Looking forward to the pics.

what to say, i love it :) not saying that is perfect but I absolutely love it. moreover it has the perfect day on the card, my birthday - and I didn't even planned for this :)

so this, as all watches I have and had will get worn, scratches, dents, will find myself starring at the lume sometimes in the evening with a single malt ... it might sound as a clichee as french guys are saying, but enjoy your watches

I just hope will be healthy and capable of generating enough income for the next 30 years to get at least 1 watch per year :)

I think that will be with you forever- with it baring you’re birthday on the card.

Wear it, scratch it and let it tell your story in generations to come. The black dial for me, is the ultimate.

Since we share the same name, why not share the same watch as well?
Congrats, wear the hell out of that EXP, just as I do with mine:

The watch looks great on your wrist. As a photographer, I can say that most people on here take their photos way too close, and this magnifies the size of the watch. The one where you are standing back three or four feet makes it look perfect.

5 and 6 digit explorers wear completely differently. My 16570 is one of the bet watches on my wrist while the 6 digit version I could not wait to take it off at my AD. Just too big for my 6.5 wrist and I do wear the SD43 comfortably. Something about the case profile just did not work for me.

I would stick with the 5 digit, it’s the perfect size!

Congrats on the purchase, I’m looking for a polar 126570, to add to my black 16570. They are both superb watches.

For me ,the 42mm is a huge improvement.Own black and Polar .
Presents well on the wrist ,wears well .The 42mm in black and white you DO NOT judge in pics .See it in the metal .

(The previous generation 40mm was a bit lost for me .Owned the Polar for a while and its the only Rolex I sold which I do not regret . )

Congrats !!

I'll say it. YES the 42mm is way to big on your 6.5 inch wrist.

If you like the 42mm, then wear it! They aren’t pants, it won’t fall down!

If someone criticizes your watch being too big, do you really want people like that in your life?

The 16570 is the most comfortable watch of all.

personally i agree that the 16570 is perfect which is why i just swapped an OP39 and some money for a g series black dial model with a very recent RSC for less than the price of a newish 216570

as the OP has now bought the 6 digit reference and clearly loves it is there any purpose in telling him it is too big or he bought the wrong watch?

it looks great on you my friend and wear it in good health

I owned one for about a year. I have 6.5” wrist and it wore large like 44mm large! My 42mm seamaster felt and looked smaller in my wrist. I ended up trading it for a sub-c.
