would you trade up?

I've been thinking about this trade for a couple of days now. My collection consists of mostly sport watches and thought I'd try to diversify my collection a little bit. I've always wanted an all gold watch and now my wife does too. We would be able to share the daydate (or try until we'd both want one each lol)

Collection: White Daytona, Pepsi, Batman, ALS Saxomat, Speedy, Seamaster, Explorer I, El Primero

2018 214270 Explorer I
2019 El Primero 38
2006 YM 35mm

for a 118238 Daydate white dial roman + cash if needed

I've had a great time with the el primero and i'm ok to move on from it. My wife doesn't use the ym anymore so she pretty much wants to trade it. I love the explorer I, it gets the most wrist time with the batman. But as much as I love the Explorer I it's the one that makes the most sense to trade. I know I'll miss it, but it'll give the new watches more wrist time. The Pepsi, Daytona, and ALS are new additions so they're not going anywhere anytime soon. Thoughts on this?

So to clarify you selling your missus watch to fund your own or is it going to be for her?
Would advise against the former lol

Did you buy all at msrp? If so, I’d trade the Batman; you’ll see the greatest return on it. Actually, personally, I’d trade the Pepsi since I’m not a huge fan, but understand your not wanting to do that. Don’t trade one you think you’ll miss, though. You’ll regret that.

yes all msrp. yeah that makes sense too, but I haven't decided yet which gmt to keep. the batman is my first rolex so it has a lot of sentimental value. the pepsi is my last purchase lol! so you it's tough for me to pick between the two right now.

Agreed. You should always keep the one that gets the most wrist time.

If it were me, I'd keep the Explorer and lose the Seamaster. So, Seamaster/Zenith/Ym35 + cash for the DD.
