Porsches and Lamborghinis...and Rolexes? Go Down with the Ship

Porsches and Rolexes Sink_1.JPG

As if it wasn't already difficult enough to get Porsches, first the ship catches on fire, then it sinks.

Now for the really important question...were there ROLEXES in that shipment too? I'm thinking that ALL the Meteorite Daytonas were on that ship too and that's why no one has seen one yet...and the wait lists (or the wait list for the wait list) just got even longer...

***Disclaimer***
I have absolutely ZERO knowledge of the cargo/contents of that ship other than what is in the news. Sad that I should even have to put this disclaimer on my post, but such are the times in which we live. This is purely done in jest (you know for fun, that thing we used to have before COVID).

If it did sink and contained a proper shipment of Rolex like 1000+ references… that might be worth a treasure hunt diving expedition! Those bad boys should be just fine at the bottom of the ocean all sealed up.

The Porsches and Lambos.. not so much.

The wreck is about 250 miles off shore and more than two miles deep, that would be a serious Salvage Op...however, with the price Rolexes are fetching, IF there were any onboard it might be worth it!!

It was reported that all the lithium batteries in the hybrid models burned out of control 5 feet above the water line. It was the intense heat from the lithium batteries on fire doomed the cargo ship and any attempt to put the fire out early.

I’ll take a case of Rainbow Daytonas in original factory sealed cases over a plastic warranty card and a $100 eBay common box. :D

Maybe only the James Cameron’s would survive. Maybe JC will hop in his sub and go get them himself!

It is a weird thing to think about it all sitting down there. They can do a documentary on it in 50 years if they can’t salvage it.

Gotta build those EVs in the continent where they will be shipped so it only burns a train car or something.

Those battery fires are no joke. Zombie fires that don’t die.

I guess the intensity of the flame is like a welding torch and once afire takes out everything around it. A lithium battery fire in a garage would be catastrophic.

Sad that we’re even joking about missing out on cars and watches when this is the actual issue.
