Incoming? OP36
Recently I bought a TT DJ from my AD, and when visited them I asked about the availability of OP36 models just for curiosity. They said the list is quite long even for the these models.
Yesterday they called me and offered an OP36 green dial version. They said this dial is quite rear and they receive only a few in a year. Does this sound right? I'm not sure about the availability of this particular watch. Do you guys think I should get it? Thanks. |

You asked and they delivered. Why are you asking us?

All 36 mm OPs are scarce, and above retai, on the secondary market. The green dial is sought after, and not very easy to get. Those who have gotten it, here on the forum, like it very much. I hope this helps.

Green is my favorite color, and the OP green has been under consideration for me for a while. But to answer your question, I personally wouldn't get it because I'd be looking at getting a 41mm instead. Although itt's just a matter of personal preference and wrist size. Good luck |

It depends on if you want it or not. If I was asking for an OP, I'd probably be asking for a specific color or colors. If I was offered something outside of that, I would (and have) declined).
Not saying this is your intention as you made no mention of it, but you won't make money on it if you flip it, or at least not enough for the hassle to probably be worth it, and the prospect of a profitable flip is only going to go down with each passing day from here on out as the market slowly corrects. |

If you like it, who cares about rarity. Buy it if you like it…. if not pass. I would get it personally. I like the green OP 36 quite a lot.

I was offered a green dial OP 41, while waiting for the new iteration Air-King.. The green is a bit much for me, so I passed on it. Rumor has it that it’s difficult to get. I would only purchase it if you 100% like it. If you have doubt, I would pass on it.

Buy it because you like it not based on if it’s rare or not

First, do you like 36mm size? if so, yes absolutely a great one to add. Is one I would like to have in 41 or 36mm

I added a green OP41 a few months ago and it’s been getting lots of wear. If the 36 is what you want I think the green is a great choice.

It's"The Rolex Forum"
Very few in this crowd will ever say "no" to a adding another Rolex to your collection. Me personally, I love that greed dial. If you have the means, then get it. |

It’s not an FP Journe mate so rarity is very relative, it’s a cool watch though and the green dial will always make it a popular one. Given the cheap price compared to other Rolexes I would add it

So I guess they’re more readily available than when they initially told you

Another person buying a watch for the wrong reasons. Just say no since you only think about rarity and value.

I don't buy for rarity or value. I was just thinking about the rarity/availability of the green dial as previously the AD mentioned a very long wait list especially for the green and the tiffany. I just wanted to know if I'd pass now, what would be the chances to get one later on. As I bought so many watches this year already, but xmas is coming...

This same AD is not likely to call you again, if you pass this time. It’s hard to get, as are all of the new OPs. Most colors are still sellling well above MSRP, on the secondary market. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Nice. Congrats I love all of the lacquer dial 36 126000 OPs. Green is not as hard to find, or as expensive pre-owned, as turquoise, candy pink, or celebration, but it is a beautiful and probably far more versatile dial.
