Boutique has called me 3 times for a Snoopy...but... (What would you do?)
Long story short, I got another call today that my Boutique has a Snoopy they can sell me but I'd have to buy another piece on the same ticket. I don't mind paying a small premium for the Snoopy but since Omega isn't holding value like Rolex, I can't even find a watch I'd buy to sell. I have all the Omegas I want.
Thoughts? Should I just wait it out? |

That's ridiculous, run away fast. Another sign they are struggling

Buy the cheapest one and calculate the loss of selling it. See if it is worth the premium of the Snoopy.

Snoopy is dropping in price. Went from 20K to 17K in the past few months. Problem with Omega is that ADs sell at a discount and Boutiques don't so the value drops almost immediately.
Plus I run the risk of being scammed if I buy a watch just to sell it unless I sell to a dealer who will probably only give me half of what I pay. |

I just talked to my rep at Omega. I already bought 2 watches from them in the recent past and am trying to convince them to just sell it to me for my future business but I wouldn't be buying a watch I don't need just to get it.
The store manager will be calling me later. Wish me luck! |

That sounds like the right move. Good luck! Last time I asked around you could get a Snoopy at $15k or even lower from some grey dealer.

Just got the call from the manager. They are pretty set on their policy which is becoming a huge turn off for me.
My Rolex ADs have been easier to work with lately than Omega. I'll wait it out. There's a new Boutique opening closer to me in the next few months anyways. |

Boutiques are like organized crime in a nice storefront. I hate this crap.

It’ll be worse if they end production next year. Then it will probably double overnight. I personally love my Snoopy it’s the only watch I’ve worn in the past 3 weeks.
And to answer the OP, I would pass. Luckily my AD is great and got me an Ed White after 6 months and a Snoopy after about 11 months. They also offered me a Platinum 321 and the new Titanium GMT. |

You got a Snoopy, and a 321 from a AD??? Seems unrealistic but maybe your spend history is unique? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Snoopy will get discontinued next year and it's not going to happen on the 31/12/2024, but much sooner, as they will have to start their production of the 55th anniversary model, thus it is anticipated that it'll become even harder to get. Shops like Watches of Switzerland and Bucherer don't get them (whenever they see one they get fascinated and ask to try it on, but only offered me £11k at Bucherer through their certified pre-owned scheme), they are, pretty much, only available at Omega Boutiques and they don't get 10 of them per week. Towards March-April 2024 they won't be getting them, almost, at all. At least, that's what I know about the UK market and on good terms with 3 managers at Omega Boutiques in London.

Yep. 321 in Aug and Snoopy last month. Not really. I’ve bought a handful of watches from my OB over the past year or so. And sorry, I meant OB, not AD. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
