I specifically requested, and waited for the black dial. You're talking absolute hogwash. |

Although the outer ring, the thin inner rings, and thrones are cringe for me on the new Daytona model 126500, but on the black I will choose the new 126500 over the 116500 because the black dial works better on this new model than the new white dial. It does look ok. The new 126500 black dial is better looking than the white dial 126500 this time around.

When worn it just looks like a thin ring around the bezel, you would really need to zoom in to see any scratches ..

Great photos. It’s interesting how close the poll is for the White dial, and how the Black 12 is significantly ahead in the other poll.
What’s everyone’s preferred comb? 11 White and 12 Black would be mine. The Daytona is just a superlative reference! |

What you wrote makes sense as the 116500 has always been more popular in white and while on the new ref the white dial is still more popular it looks like the black dial attracts many more enthusiast vs the old ref. My choice is 116500 black 126500 white as I prefer for the white dial the 126500 and for the black dial I really love the jubilee option on the old ref (no jubilee fits the new ref). |

This is actually one of the only/few polls where I’ve seen the 12 White ahead of the 11 White (on IG and elsewhere the 11 Series White usually wins). And, even here, it’s quite close. I hadn’t really ever seen a specific poll comparing the 11 to 12 Black until now, and it’s so interesting how dial color can make such a big impact. The 12 Black in a landslide (an even greater landslide than Keir Starmer and the Labour Party!). |

Does not look right on a jubilee ..
11 or 12 in black or white, I would not refuse any ..

Ref.6240 Ref.6241 Ref.6263 Ref.6264 These are equipped with steel rings as well as the 126500. You may be able to reference the appearance of scratches left on the ring over the years of use. However, it will take time to find them as there are only a few balls. Since you are here, I will try to find images too. |

Yeah no one will be able to see the scratches on the 126 bezel. The ring is so thin. If you loop it into your then yes you’ll see hairline scratches

I love both. I think 12 black is better than both. 116 white is next and then 126 white

There have been several Daytonas equipped with steel rings in the past, so it may be best to actually look for them yourself and view them. However, if you say you don't care, that's all there is to it, and whether or not you care will depend on your personality. If you handle them roughly, you will get deep scratches. Enjoy your wonderful watch life. |

We have 2 of them. I have the white dial for 3 months now and under a loop yes you can see hairline scratches otherwise they’re not visible. A dent would catch an odd glimmer but I don’t have one yet. Someone here got his wife a new 126 oysterflex Daytona and got a dent in the ring very early on. They then got it replaced for not too much money Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Have you actually seen one in the metal? Yes the symmetrical cases wear slightly larger (and to me look much better), but having 6.75 inch wrists and owning a 116509 with almost exactly the same (but heavier) case than the SS 12 series Daytonas, I can assure you the case isn't "huge" If it is, then an 11 series Submariner must be gargantuan
