Yellow Gold and White Romans is the classic combo, and was my choice.

I am desperately trying to save for a RG and chocolate day date. Someday; hopefully before I die.

Yellow Gold 36 with white roman dial. EPIC reference. Will look good 50 years from now.

These two are my favorite. But they’re all so gorgeous you can’t go wrong with any of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I tend to agree with this - definitely a more “classic” look for many, but for me the white dial does make it more of a “formal” look. In YG I went with the champagne/stick combo and have found it to be incredibly versatile while still being very legible. This combo looks just as good with jeans/t-shirt as it does with a suit and tie. YMMV. Such a subjective choice - enjoy the process of choosing your ideal configuration! i went yg with champagne for the classic look. the white dial is a bit too plain for me, especially on a watch like this
no wrong choice here though |

If you're into the Yellow Gold variant, you might also want to look at the silver dial.. It's the configuration I have and love it.. In certain lights almost looks white but still has the cool sunburst effect.. Food for thought, you won't regret any Day Date!!!

I had two DayDate 40mm and neither stuck. I felt it wore too big for the watch it is. I recently picked up a 36mm and love the size, proportions, and wearing experience much more. It doesn’t feel as unwieldy on the wrist. YMMV.
Some pics on my 7 3/8” wrist.
