ALS Zeitwerk question
On the discontinued zeitwerk, how did you guys change the hours, do you have to keep going through all the minutes for every hour to change the hour or was there a different crown click for the hours separate from the minutes.
I know the newer version got a push button, but I am considering the older one for a good price, but find it so unpractical if you have to change from 12 to 6 oclock by changing minute by minute.. Thanks in advance |

Gorgeous!!! Just wondering , if its 12 and you need to adjust it to 6, that means 360 clicks or minutes, I thought theres were seperate positions on the crown, one for minutes and one for hours..

No you have to cycle through. It’s not that bad but still pretty annoying.

I assumed it would be more or less like a quickset date change with the "quick" change being the minutes.
It seems if that is the case, adjusting would actually be pretty quick and not annoying. |

nope. as alluded to, that and a longer power reserve were the features of the newer movement.

Does the newer zeitwerk still do that thing where the minute moves slightly downwards at the 58 sec mark before then flipping over?

Can’t speak for the newer moment I have the older version it’s pretty easy & quick to set and as Russell said it’s fun to watch the numbers roll by. OP you can always find one of Tim Mosso’s videos online he pretty much demos the process

On the first generation ZW you cycle through minute by minute there is no hour adjustments it’s pretty easy and doesn’t take much time, at least that’s my opinion, that’s why I suggested you look at one of Tim’s videos. I had similar thoughts before I pulled the trigger on this watch, but I have no regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
