PM watches are not really too heavy IMO, it depends on you totally, some people wear large chunky and heavy watches and it works, you would get used to the weight as you wear it more.

It really depends on if you can get a good fit. If the watch is at all loose, it will move around and be uncomfortable to wear. There seems to be a little more latitude in fit with gold as the metal is lighter.

7 3/8” wrist here, and I could daily this 36mm platinum DD from a comfort standpoint. The smaller 36mm size really balances the watch for me and gives it the right amount of weight I enjoy without it being too much or unwieldy on the wrist. In contrast, I’ve also owned the platinum DD 40mm (several times…) and found that it was too big and too heavy in platinum to be a daily. YMMV
