If I had to pick one....
I never thought I'd say this but it would NOT be my beloved 1665.....
A friend asked me the other if I had to pick just one of the watches I currently own which one would it be??? And it got me to thinking.... Although I think my 1665 is the better looking watch, if I had to have only one watch to wear day in and day out, I think I would have to go with my 666.... From a romantic stand point the 1665 would win, no question! But from a purely practical stand point, for a watch to wear 24/7 regardless, I think the 666 would be the better choice. A movement that, in the long run as parts for the 15XX movements become harder to find, will be easier to get serviced, sapphire crystal, better water resistance (on average), quick set date. From a truly practical perspective I guess one would have to choose the 16600, but to live without a Matt Dial, now that's just crazy talk... |

I agree. To live without matte is crazy talk. You're fortunate that both of the examples are sooo good looking...makes the choice difficult. As a daily wearer, I like your assessment.

I agree with your choice on the 666. I'm been debating to myself what I would keep if I got rid of all but one. I think I would keep my 1680

The 666 matte is definitely a solid daily wear buy that acrylic, oh my that acrylic is the ticket, I'd take my chances to have that extra spring in my step everyday
