Tale of the two Subs
My father originally wanted the blusey. However, when we got to the AD he noticed the black in the corner of his eye. He ended up buying the blue that day but we still had the black on our minds. I ended up doing a ton of research online (just joined the forums) recently, and found a mint condition LNIB black TT. The price was right and we jumped on it. We decided one of them would be my law school graduation gift and since we love both watches we plan on switching off every 6 months or so. In retrospect we should have bought both watches from the classifieds section because they are mint condition and a great value. We now know for the future that it is the way to go.
Enjoy the pictures. |

Thank you for the kind words. I just got the black TT sized today. It feels amazing on my wrist as this is my first Rolex. I am used to wearing low end watches and something about having a Rolex on your wrist just makes you feel great! The other Sub is my dad's second Rolex, he wore his first one for twenty years.

I must say, these pictures are absolutely stunning in every way possible!!! I'm on the verge of purchasing a 16613 Bluesy, but that black/gold combination is making my decision very hard....

Was at an AD and saw the black two-tone with diamond markers, it was BEAUTIFUL. though I love the blue TT, the bling swayed me...

My father ended up keeping the 13LB and 13LN for himself since he couldn't decide which he wanted, and he let me pick up the 10LV for my graduation gift. Although, I'm sure whenever I'm home I can swap out the LV for one of the TT's!

My local mall has a ton of watch boutiques and a ADs, so watch-spotting is great there. Not too long ago, I found myself walking behind a gentleman and his son, and he was wearing a blue TT Sub, and they were talking Rolex the entire time we were behind them. If your info didn't say SoCal, I would have assumed that pair was you and your father!
