Panerai White Gold - Rhodium?

I was at a dealer this weekend who insisted that Panerai had NEVER used rhodium plating for their white gold watches.

He might be right, but I thought they originally used rhodium plating, and later went to a palladium alloy. My memory was that their service centers even warned you that they would not refinish their rhodium plated watches.

Cant find anything on a Google search, anyone have any details on this? I'm guessing the change was some time ago, more than 5 years.

thanks,

mark
