Hello from the desert

....where we just had torrential rains for the past two days! I have always loved watches, but primarily from the lower end. From my first Seiko as a teen thru various "sport watches" as a marathoner, then eventually to a series of TAG Formula I's. My most recent purchase was a Formula I GMT; when I became aware that it was a "homage" to the BLNR, I decided it was time to step up.

So now I am looking for a new BLNR; but currently none of the dealers in Scottsdale/Phoenix have one in stock....!

Marshall

Hello Marshall, another Desert Dweller I see, we got a little rain here in Palm Springs yesterday, at least it's one more day without summer. You know summer has hit here, when you see the devil at the airport with his bags.

Welcome

Thanks all!

I am going to give my local ADs a chance to procure a BLNR for me; if the process goes on too long than I may consider the trusted seller route. I just feel with a watch of this higher quality, cost, etc. I would like to establish a relationship locally (I would feel a little wierd walking into an AD with an obviously new watch and asking them to size it for me).

Funny thing: Now that I have become "Rolex aware" I am starting to see them turn up in many places- I identified a Submariner from across a restaurant last night!

BOOM!!!

OK, so Monday early afternoon I called another Rolex AD across town asking about the BLNR; got the same info that they were very hard to come by, etc.; the dealer was very nice. Then he says, "oh wait a minute, we just got a big delivery, let me see if there was one in this shipment!" He barely gets the word "yes!" out of his mouth when I drove right down there and immediately claimed it.

Everyone who says that it looks more amazing in real life than any photo is understating the situation. I am just enthralled...!

So now, anyone interested in a barely used, mint condition, 2 month old TAG Formula I GMT?
