First Rolex & New Member: OP 39mm Red Grape
Finally purchased my first Rolex! I saw this watch in a store window and just loved the way the light came off the dial. Not wanting to go into the store I rushed home and started my online research. I came across this forum and also came across David SW of Orlando.
It was a leap of faith to wire money to a complete stranger, but all the positive feedback from this forum gave me the gumption. I'm so glad I found both the forum and David. It is more than refreshing to come across a fair and honest person, especially over the internet. I've only had the watch 24 hours now and just can't stop looking at it. The 39mm size fits my 7.5 inch wrist perfectly. I'm considering taking out a link but when my wrist swells in the heat it may be perfect without the removal. I must say that many of the internet photos make the dial more pink or purple than it appears in person. Overall, the OP 39 is very comfortable, conservative in some ways, modern in others, and just a bit of flash to stand out. I love it!!! I look forward to learning more about Rolex watches from the very valuable opinions and insights found here. I also look forward to working with David SW in the near future. I have my eye on a Datejust or possibly a Submariner Ceramic. |

Beautiful! I just picked up a blue OP and I agree that it is a totally different watch in person. Photos absolutely do not do the dial of the OP any justice!

Congrats! The blue is beautiful! Love the way the sun comes off the dial. I also saw it in person and was really going back and forth between the blue and red grape.
The reason I went for the red grape is because there's another blue that I am strongly considering... a blue Datejust II smooth bezel. I know it gets a bad wrap because of the large batons and oversized appearance but I actually love it and hope soon to add this as my "blue" watch. |

CONGRATS on the purchase!! I think Rolex has the best sunburst dials I've ever seen.
