You love the AT, and it's the watch you were waiting for. I can understand the Daytona's affect on the situation, but my sense is you'll find over time that the reasons you love the AT remain, and you'll enjoy wearing it later on. Keep it!
A man needs his AT for days sailing on the yacht, and his Daytona for track days in the vintage Lola. |

Both are stunning. However, if consolidating, consider color and versitility. Although both can live and play well together, I would give the edge (if it comes to that) to the Daytona. Just a super awesome, flexible, cool piece!

Rubber Decisions:
I had a similar decision to make when I got my Patek 5164A (rubber). I had another rubber strap watch - the Rolex Yachtmaster 116655. I decided that if I'm going to grab for a rubber strap watch when going out, more often than not I'd grab the Patek - so the Rolex went. I'm still fond of it and perhaps one day down the road will own it again. Usually when making these painful "redundant" decisions I let my gut feeling rule. I knew deep down I prefer the Patek - so the 116655 went. I'd say don't overthing it - it's just a watch and you can get it again down the road. I learned a while back 99% of the time when I let a watch go, I don't re-think it and it was a good decision. But in those 1% cases if the watch still plagues me - you know its a keeper and re-buy it. |

I think I might have to agree with this.
Maybe sell the ND sub like Chad keeps saying . Release the newly purchased BLNR as well, move an Omega Seamaster, the AT and my Breitling... And pick up a BLRO. or Blue Sub.... Hmmmm....

Now your talking Seth!!!
Two of my grail watches right there ... BLRO and PM Sub (YG Bluesy would be my choice). Not that you don’t have a great collection as it is already but with your OF Daytona in the mix you’d have a heavy hitters collection... Home run!!! Pretty much all of your bases covered ... pun intended. |

My head works in tough ways. I suppose I am not the only one here that does this.... BUT... Now I am thinking the Daytona is pure sport. Can be dressed up, but mostly sport. So maybe go back to my love the DD40. Maybe the sublime olive dial..... hmmmm Super sport (Daytona) and pure class (DD40) go well together. Crap. I really thought I was done with all of this.

Seth , I think the your DJ works well as a dressy
watch even though it’s SS if I remember correctly. Leaving room for the BLRO or PM Sub... The DD40 is gorgeous ...but I’m more into sport models, so if the DD40 makes you smile then maybe that’s the route you should go . I’d take a little time and think it through though just to be sure on your strategy and next steps .. |

I had similar feelings about my Seamaster master coaxial. After buying it, I hardly touched it for about a year. But then one day I picked it up and realised it is a very attractive watch. Right now it is very high rotation.

Uh oh. But as much as this all sounds exciting. I will likely just sell a few and sit tight with a couple of extra bucks in the watch fund. I am wearing my speedy Tuesday the last two days. And love it. Still cant wait to get home tonight and put my Daytona back on.

Decided to keep it.
I might not wear it often. But I think I’ll regret selling it. And I’m sure it’ll get some use. Maybe more than I currently expect.

Absolutely they can co exsist. Two very different looks so unless you think you really will not wear the AT, any collection would definitely be a winner with both. Could be one of those things where after a year of wearing a lot of that Daytona you will feel like switching it up more and will be very happy to have the AT waiting for ya.

Put the AT back on tonight.
Can’t believe I debated moving it. It’s a really nice watch. Incredibly comfortable too. And to be honest, less stressful to wear than the Daytona.

I think that's a good decision Seth. Sometimes you just need to let a watch sit for a while and then come back to it. Then, see how you feel about wearing it. The AT really is a heck of a watch at its price point.
