Old member returning - access issues
Hi,
I'm an old member, joined in 2007, and returning after quite some time away. I appear to be locked out of some posts, can't work out why and can't see an obvious way to enquire from the mods. Please advise! I will become a pledge member soon but I don't think that's the issue here :-) |

Ravi, have you signed out and tried signing back in? Give that a try, maybe change your password.

I don't think that you can be locked out of some posts and not others.
Perhaps you are trying to post to the For Sale board, which is not a discussion board, so nobody can post to those threads.

I'm also guessing that your post translates to "I can't post in the FSoT section".
You can't, only to your own FSoT threads, for which you'd need to become a Pledge Member.

Thanks Mods!!
I did try replying to a FS ad and was locked out of that, yes. I thought posting new threads was not allowed, rather than responding? There was another post in the Vintage Forum that I had successfully responded to and later got a notification of a response from somebody else. When I tried to access that I got a dialogue box up saying I could not post, one of the reasons given was that it might be because I had been locked out. Other posts were no problem, but that particular post was... and hence this post from me. Are you still following?!! It seems that the problem posts had been moved to other fora, so perhaps that's why I couldn't access them... The dialogue box that came up didn't offer that as a reason but it must be, given everything else reported. Anyway, thanks for your responses, I clearly have not been selectively locked out; rather the posts themselves have moved and the forum software doesn't know how to tell me that's the case. Thanks again!! |
