Breitling Transocean Chrono 38 or the Montbrillant 01 would be good choices as well for your wrist size.

Eh no? They solder tubes, not just on two models.

This! I had the exact model, tough as nails, and fantastic proportions, as my wrist is under 6.5 inches. Another possibility is the older Navi, which were 41mm.

i never commented about solder. I replied to the practice of forcing purchase of a new case instead of a new tube.

you can get a new crown tube without buying a new case on higher end breitlings and older brietlings. the fact a new mid case is required on some limited models during service is well documented elsewhere, and there are some statements from brietling that mirror what i have said needing to buy a new case is limited to certain models.

furthermore i myself have had a new tube installed by breitling usa on a chronomat without a new case.

Then this practice must differ as to where it is serviced. Breitling Netherlands tends to charge for a new case if the tube is worn, regardless of model.

I cannot tell you unfortunately, b01 is a great movement but the problems still exist, the older movements are more reliable

The 42 mm CSO I. from 2003 through a couple of years had a day-date, then came the CSO II. with 44 mm, day-only and the ugly rubber bezel, while a few laters followed the CSO II. Steelfish Chrono with the same case, steel bracelet with minimal rubber inlay and day-date. I have the BEB dial and love it!

Absolutely stunning watch in person.

It really is. And it looks a lot different on the wrist than just sitting in the case.

This one has the Tudor/Breitling movement too.

No, that chrono version has the B13 movement in it which is based on the Valjoux 7750. I believe only the 3 hand models have the B20 movement which is the Tudor/Breitling movement.

I believe you're right. As I understand it, the deal is Breitling can use Tudor's MT5612 movement (which Breitling re-brands as the B20) for some of its three-hand watches, and Tudor can use Breitling's B01 movement (which Tudor re-brands as the MT5813) for some of its chronographs. Breitling isn't borrowing any chronograph movements from Tudor for its own chronographs. Indeed, I don't think Tudor makes its own chronograph movements; they're either ETA or "in house" Breitling.

I guess I misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying it.

No worries, I was hoping you weren’t misled by your AD when you bought the watch.

I have a d22322 cosmonaute on an air racer bracelet, made in 2009 (125th anniversary). That's nominally a 41.5mm case diameter, wears a bit smaller than that. That has the b22 Calibre (ETA base with Dubois Depraz chrono module), works well but something an independent watchmaker wouldn't service, at least for the chrono aspect.

Might be worth checking out those navitimers and cosmonautes from the post-lemania/pre-b01 era, might be some good values there (I think the lemanias and b01s are more sought after, better appreciated by watch movement enthusiasts). I got a great deal on mine.
