Non event.
People are busy.
How about a text?
Or, How about making a visit to said AD and see what’s up?

It certainly fits better in the Open Discussion versus the various watch sections.

As a general rule of thumb, I'd say it's a bad sign when anyone doesn't return your calls.

Let me throw some optimism at the OPs question. Maybe he got fired for ignoring texts and calls from other customers.

Lol,it was just a call to to ask about a watch I have been waiting for since last September. Last time I called was in February. I know the chances of getting it are slim to none but I did buy another watch from her in December.

The more you stop by in person the better the results is what I have found. Phone calls just don’t result in the same kind of interaction!

Wow, talk about the epitome of click bait titles there. You got me, but I will contribute as much as OP did. (Nothing).

Except you can't just drop in now,you have to call first to make an appointment because of Covid-19 restrictions(I live in a "hot spot").

So last on Saturday I get this email titled "Rolex" from my AD:

"Hi cronos,

It’s X.... from XXXX Jeweler. Give me a call at the store.
I have a watch for you"

So I call the AD and the watch it turns out is an Oyster Perpetual 41mm in Bright Blue. I tell the AD,I will pass because I wanted a Crimson Red.

Today I get another email titled "Last Chance on Rolex"

"Hello cronos,

I am giving you one last shot at the 41 Oyster Perpetual,
Very hard watch to get. Its worth double.
Crazy to pass.

That’s a bit of an odd email… first, the implication that you should go ahead and flip it and, second, the fact that I don’t think the blue goes for that amount.

The funny thing is I almost bought a vintage 1954 OP at another AD today before realizing I didn't have my credit card because I had left it at a restaurant where I ate brunch with my son yesterday. I actually meant to get get my card back before I went to the AD but maybe it's good that I didn't because this was just an impulse buy.

I see at least one professional dealer at $9000. I assume you are not a professional dealer and would likely have to price lower in addition to paying sales tax.

In any case, it’s definitely not worth double and you’d almost certainly eliminate yourself from competition for a red dial OP. But I agree this is a bizarre email to receive.

How long as it been? How many messages? Are you emailing, texting or calling? Maybe the person is on vacation, maybe they are waiting for your watch to come in and have nothing to report. At least it is not a no!

I will say, that is a cool piece... If you're into vintage sizing, what about asking your AD about OP36 in red?

I'm now looking at the Wixon site... They have some seriously cool vintage Rolexes listed. Not the most sought after (besides that double-red on page 1), but great "uncommon normal" watches (original Milgauss, full-PM GMT brown/Jubilee, four-digit Explorers).

Are you referring to the sales person or just in general the authorized dealer/random person?

And here's a great reminder to all those who say the ADs just want to make sure you're not a flipper.

News flash: they don't care and never have.
