I definitely prefer the BLNR on a jubilee too. I’m not a fan of PCLs on the Oyster. For me, it’s either a brushed oyster or a jubilee.

Couldn't agree more. I've owned the black bezel GMT as well as the BLNR on oyster (twice!!!!). My BLNR on the jubilee is a keeper.

Yes, I am very excited...it will probably steal quite a bit of wrist time from the new Explorer in 2022...Happy New Year! Thank you, sir! I think you will really like the diversity that Jubilee offers a watchbox full of Oysters.

INCOMING GMTII 126710BLNR What a Difference!
Quote:
First, CONGRATS! Second, I completely agree ... the jubilee makes the GMT a better watch (if one has other oyster Rolexes). I love that in my collection (like yours) I have all three Rolex sport bracelets ... oyster, oyster with PCLs, and jubilee. Without question, the jubilee is the most comfortable and least prone to scratches (even compared to brushed oyster). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

So what happened to the 3 other gmts that you owned? One of them you owned twice? Just curious. Cheers.

Over the ten years or so that I owned them they were either sold or traded. The 116710 BLNR was traded towards my 116619LB Smurf in 2016.

Great pickup and GREAT collection :)
partly OT: I run a similar setup minus the YM. Would you say the YM becomes redundant in you current setup or will that be used too? I'm thinking adding an oyster to the GMT could make it take the place of the YM as well? |

I always describe the YM as a very sporty Datejust. It has a flashy dial, low profile elegant case shape, and curvy polished lines that make it wear completely different. It is a watch I doubt I will ever part with because it is so unique amongst other Rolex sport models...I hope that helps!

Awesome addition and it's on my wish list! I'm very intrigued to try a modern Rolex with Jubilee bracelet, as I only have my Milgauss with the PCL oyster, the 216570 with brushed oyster, and a vintage 1680 with old school 93150 brushed oyster.
I'm very impressed by how your picture shows each watch perfectly synchronized, even the seconds hand of each watch! Congrats! |
